what started it?i first got introduced to lemurs when i watched madagascar. i was a toddler then, around 3 years old, and i quickly grew fixated on it, as well as rio. i'd watch it every day, on repeat, and i absolutely adored it. the characters that stuck out to me most were king julien and maurice. i saw myself in them, specifically how different they were, and it felt like the way i feel cause of my autism.. in an odd way i cant really explain lol
and over the years, i grew even more fixated on king julien and now, he's my favourite character ever, and ring-tailed lemurs are my favourite animal !!!
i've been a fan of king julien for over 10 years now [get me out of this istg /j]extra infoi have a plushie named after him; king julien the first. i got him 3/4 years ago at a zoo, and he is my favourite plush, he goes everywhere with me, and according to my mum, he's technically another family member because of how close i am to him [platonically]the lemurs i have seen so far are ring-tailed lemurs, black lemurs + black and white ruffed lemurs. i have fed 3 ring-tailed and have seen one of the oldest in britain!!king julien the first is also one of the earliest versions of a plush from the zoo he came from, and i have the version that came out after that too, he's king julien the secondcurrent collectionin total, i have...in real life
